Mokume Gane Bruiser

This ring was hand made, carving a wax model, then cast in sterling silver using the lost wax casting method. 

In lieu of a stone, I used my own version of mokume gane, with silver, copper, and brass. 

Mokume-gane is a Japanese metalworking method which fuses a mix of metals to create one of a kind, layered patterns. Mokume-gane translates closely to "wood grain metal."
